BAFTA CYMRU AWARDS 2009
Press Release Sunday 17 May, 2009: The Winners have been announced for the 18th Annual BAFTA Cymru Awards Ceremony held at the Wales Millennium Centre.
This year's Siân Phillips Award goes to actress, Ruth Jones and the BAFTA Cymru Special Award honoured acclaimed actress, Margaret John.
The Gwyn Alf Williams Award for a programme or series of programmes which have contributed the most to the understanding and appreciation of the history of Wales goes to Lleisiau’r Rhyfel Mawr.
S4C's Welsh language productions round up an impressive 16 wins, including, 6 wins for Teledu Apollo’s film drama adaptation of Caryl Lewis’s Martha, Jac a Sianco; including Sharon Morgan & Ifan Huw Dafydd picking up the award for Best Actress and Best Actor.
BBC Cymru Wales' sci-fi series, Doctor Who has scooped a total of 4 Awards in the Production, Craft and Performance categories....
